Lighten Your Life

An integrated programme for long term weight loss

Evidence-based weight loss programme

  • Provided in a small group setting

  • Fad diets have no place here

Programme will give you confidence and knowledge to change your behaviours and relationship with food.

  • You will develop your own long term strategy to manage your weight.

  • The group settings are small with a maximum of 8 online (Zoom) and 12 in person.

Each session we will cover new topics specific to weight management and develop the tools for you to manage your weight.

Over the length of the course you will gain a “toolbox” of strategies that will help you to maintain your weight loss for the long term.

You will be given targets at each session focusing on nutrition, physical activity and changing behaviours and the support you need to achieve them. These targets are aimed at making small incremental changes which are both manageable and sustainable as you go forward.

Small changes count! Unrealistic targets set you up to fail. Small achievable targets help you grow in confidence and develop positive habits. This provides a good foundation for continuing to achieve your goal.

Author

Sharon Kallos, BSc (Hons), ANutr

I am a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with a first class Bachelor of Science degree, BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Health from the University of Roehampton. My work is varied including providing one-to-one nutrition consultations, health writing, research assistance, workshops and presentations.

As a Registered Nutritionist, I abide by the standards of ethics, conduct and performance of the Association of Nutrition. You can be certain that my advice is evidenced-based.

My own experience with gut health is what prompted me to study nutrition. I am passionate about using this knowledge to help others find the right balance in their life. There are many sources of nutritional advice available on social media today, much of it appealing and persuasive, but not all of it is backed up by sound scientific research. I understand how difficult it is to search for nutritional advice when you have a problem. I continue to develop my knowledge by keeping up to date with the latest scientific research so I can provide you with right advice.

My philosophy is that food should bring you joy as well as being nourishing. You can optimise your health and eat delicious food. No fuss - no fad diets.

As a mum of three, feeding a growing family can be a challenge. Why do they all appear to have different needs, tastes and ideas about what to eat!
I am passionate about sharing my experience and knowledge to help you address your nutritional needs whatever they may be.
